Biography

I am a Senior Undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.

I am broadly interested in Robotics, especially Computer Vision and Autonomous Systems. For the past two years, I have been part of an incredible team at AUV-IITK, and have been directly responsible for the design and development of an autonomous underwater vehicle. Apart from that, I have been a member of the Intelligent Guidance & Control Laboratory, where I have worked on the control of UAVs, realtime RGB-D reconstruction of indoor areas, and space dynamics.

I have been a founding member and a leader of the IITK Consult Group, where I have worked with the World Health Organisation, Talentedge and Moja Global on data science projects.

I am interested in puzzling and quantitative finance too, having interned at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a quantative researcher. Find me curating some exciting puzzles at Mathemagic!

Space Debris Mitigation using Guided Solar Sails

In this work we are proposing a novel and safe way of disposing space debris by utilizing Solar Radiation Pressure. A group of co-operative satellites are employed having large reflective surface capable of reflecting solar radiation, mimicking the design of ‘Solar Sails’. As a result of the co-operative action of the satellites, a force field is created which dispose the space debris either into a safe grave yard orbit or to a non-periodic orbit resulting in its mitigation by falling on to Earth’s atmosphere.

Realtime Onboard Dense RGB-D Mapping on UAVs

Implemented and evaluated the realtime RGB-D mapping of unstructured environments, using open-source packages
